1st Annual Gold Hill Wellness Fam(ily) Jam 

Did you know the Children‘s Attention Home is operating almost $53,000 under budget this year? With a tough economy many budgets have been cut and operating expenses diminished.  When it is a charity  that cares for kids in our community though it is a tough thing to swallow.

This year in 2010 we decided to start a new event with all the proceeds going to the Children’s Attention Home. It was the 1st Annual Gold Hill Wellness Family Jam and was a huge success!  The event took place on April 24th (Child Abuse Awareness month) outside of Complete Wellness Chiropractic at 1520 Onyx Ridge, Fort Mill, SC 29708, the huge area across from Knightsbridge community and next to the Four Seasons Club. We were very successful this year in generating a huge amount of awareness for the Children’s Attention Home and were able to donate over $1,000.00 back to our favorite charity!  There were all kinds of activities for 1 ticket that children could do, such as, bouncy pits, dunk tanks, petting zoo and much more.

To make this event even better we have 4 rock and roll bands (Wiggle Wagons, Echocode, Lyra Shines and Jake Haldenwang. We wanted to send out a special thanks to the bands for coming out and playing an amazing concert and giving back to their communities. The venue turned out to be amazing and allowed every vendor to see everything that was going on including the bands and a large grass area for everyone to bring blankets, lawn chairs or just sit in the grass.  To make this one of the most unique events in York County we had over 54 different health and wellness related vendors giving out great information on ways to improve your health and have fun doing it.

We really appreciate the help of some many different individuals that helped make this an amazing event.  There are too many to mention here but a special thanks to Vemma our Gold Sponsor, the City of Tega Cay, Tega Cay Parks and Rec’s and the Charlotte Knights.  Best of all we were able to hold this as a free event with free parking so everyone was able to enjoy the day.

We are so grateful at Complete Wellness Chiropractic to be able to host such a special 1st annual event and look forward to making 2011 even better.  We hope to see you here next April for the 2nd annual Fam Jam which can be promised to be bigger, better and even healthier!  So come out next year and enjoy some great bands and family fun at the 2011 Fam Jam!
